Flour Tortilla’s
4c flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tblspn Butter or Lard (I like with butter)
1 1/2 c Water ( I use cold tap)
Mix Flour, Salt. Baking powder and butter together until well blended (Best by hand but a pastry cutter works too) then add water. Kneed a little to make sure fully incorporated and then take balls of dough and turn roll them out on a lightly floured surface.
Cook in skillet on Med heat until lightly browned on each side. (Shouldn’t need any oil and works best on an electric griddle)
I would recommend using as little flour as possible and rolling as thin as possible (just about paper thin). Golf ball sized chunks of dough will make the “big” tortillas.
