About Me…

My name is Cynthia, I am a stay at home mom for our son. I try very hard to keep up with him, the house and still get dinner on the table. I do have a lot of hobbies, as cooking is one of them. Among the others I play video games and I love my photography. I am starting school in the fall for my photography, but find a lot of joy and relaxation in my cooking. I also have the ability to be creative and not be judged.

My husband and I just celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary in April, December will be 6 years together though. Our son will be 2 years old in July, and has proven to be my pickiest eater. I haven’t gone to school for cooking, outside of some Home Ec. classes in middle school, I learned everything I know from my mother and my grandma (her mom).

I started this blog, because I need a place where I can keep track of new recipes I try and a place to vent about failures. It’s amazing how upset I get when I burn a batch of cookies or something. I put a lot of me into my cooking and baking, that the “average” person doesn’t quite understand. However, the feeling I get when someone tastes something I just made, or when there are no leftovers from dinner, is amazing!

***EDIT***

In 2011 my husband and I kissed our son farewell as he went home to Jesus. My passion for cooking and many other things left with him. It’s not 2013, and September had marked the point where my husband and I have now been without him longer then he was with us. It was a difficult point when we realized it, but it has been a driving force in me to live life to it’s fullest. Aside from a rename on this site, I have also changed my cooking style. You will notice in my early posts that I cooked semi ranomdly and not everything was from scratch. My recipes have now changed and I have found a rekindled love and passion to cook. So now my recipes are from scratch and homemade. No shortcuts or artificial preservatives.

I truly hope you find joy in these recipes as I have found joy in creating them.
